- 4 additional rowing ergs for conditioning ($900 per erg)

Crew is a co-ed, club sport at First Colonial with more than 50 rowers competing against schools within the region and across the nation. It is a growing sport that teaches commitment, dedication, and teamwork. Rowing is one of the top aerobic activities and requires excellent overall physical conditioning. Most importantly, it gives students the opportunity to be part of a team at First Colonial, a team that values commitment and rewards effort.
Although crew has the full support of the First Colonial High School administration, we receive no financial support from Virginia Beach City Schools or the State of Virginia. We must look to individual contributions and fundraising efforts to cover our expenditures which include equipment purchases and maintenance, coaching salaries, and regatta fees. Individuals or businesses interested in making a tax-deductible donation should contact the First Colonial Crew Club President, Jim Petersen.
